About ME!

Hi everyone! This is Jacqueline – My friends and teachers usually call me Jac., so welcome to call me either way!

Nice to e-meet you ALL, and thanks for coming into my page!
Let me introduce myself a bit first! I am Chinese and born in Hong Kong, and I have a younger sister. My parents love hanging us around when we are little two. I still remember when I was 7 years old in winter season, our family visited Tokyo, Japan and learnt how to ski which was our first time to travel together in 4 person! This is so funny and memorable!

After that, our family traveled at least two to three times a years, but usually in Asia countries. I think the reasons are short journeys and less transport time to destinations. But it is NOT an issue for us, and I think this ‘habit’ become my interest and build an adventurer personality to keep exploring!

Adventure is worthwhile in itself.”

Once I finished my college school, and I’ve to choose which studies am I interested and become my career. Then I believed Tourism Studies must be the one I loved and felt interested to learn more and explore this industry. After I finished a four-years Higher Diploma in Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), I worked around 6 years in Tourism industry about inbound travel, corporate travel, Destination Event Meeting Travel (DEM) and in-house travel desk.

I’ve earned these experience, and I think I need to add more value and be more competitive in the market, and it has become a necessity to have a degree in corporate world to secure my career path. So I decided to achieve higher education level and hope it could help on my career path planning.
In 2018, I made a huge decision to fulfill my dream. I joined a part-time Tourism Management degree programme in Plymouth University School of Tourism and Hospitality which collaborated with HKU SPACE and is part of the Plymouth University Faculty of Business.  The programme also broadened my horizons as it allowed me to meet other professionals from other industries with different backgrounds. In my class, there is even a immigration officer. It’s not what I could have imagined before I joined the programme!

This Blog will record my travel and study experience, please subscribe and add my others social networks!
